Requests - Organizations & Individual

Please consider scrolling to the bottom of the list (last page) to requests that have been waiting the longest. Thank You!

All of the requests on this page are from specific individuals, families or organizations. One of the core values of HYH is: only the individuals themselves know what they want or need and that it is critical to take the time to ask them. When you fund a request, you are providing something that not only the individual, family or organization needs but you are also supporting another HYH core value which is: immigrants, migrants and refugees should feel valued, respected and appreciated

If you would like to fund multiple requests, we suggest that you add up the total and make a general donation of that amount. You can list the requests you are funding in the comment section when you check out. Thx!

Black Hoodie

Hi, my name is Don Aluino. I’m fairly new to this farm in Caledonia County Vermont and don’t own many things. These work pants would be very helpful for my long work days.

The sweaters and coats would also come in handy when the weather starts to cool. I would also appreciate some casual shoes and work boots. The shoes I own right now are not very adequate for my work and are pretty worn out. Any and all help is appreciated! Thanks!

Yulimar is an asylee from Venezuela who has been living with her husband and two daughters in New York while awaiting their asylum status for over a year. Yulimar and her family have been living in shelters and with friends and family since they came to the U.S., but this May Yulimar and her husband were able to move into their very own apartment for the first time since they fled Venezuela. This is a huge step for Yulimar and her family on their journey to self-sufficiency and integration into their new lives in New York.

She is very proud to finally have her own place to live with her husband and two 12-year-old daughters, but they are in need of furniture and other basics to fill their new home. Yulimar spent almost all of her savings on renting the apartment, and could use help buying furniture and household items needed to turn it into a proper home for her family. Any and all donations and support will be appreciated by Yulimar and her family.

Johan is a 16 year old who has recently arrived from Guatemala. His sponsor is his brother, who has a wife and a baby girl. The family is very low income and they are barely making ends meet.

They owe a huge debt for their journey here, and their family back home could be in danger if it is not paid off. Johan needs just about everything from clothes to personal hygiene products and a bed. Unaccompanied children served by Catholic Charities Atlanta are children who cross our borders and have no parent or legal guardian who is available to provide for their care and physical custody. For a limited number of Unaccompanied Children, the U.S. Office of Refugee Resettlement funds home studies and post-release services by social services providers to help ensure children are released into safe placements and to facilitate family and community integration after reunification.
